Thank you Rotary!

Thank you to Rotary Clubs in Scotland who raised a tremendous £6,408 in the Rotary Ride for Prostate Cancer in 2022!

Rotarians across Scotland made tremendous efforts to support our cause last year. They organised many rides in their local communities to raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer and disease.  We were thrilled to receive sponsorship and donations from many individuals and clubs.

Amongst the Rotary Rides taking place, Crieff Rotary were one of the first out of the blocks!  The ‘Tour de Clacks’ returned, the titles of Fastest Man and Woman in Shetland were claimed and Dunfermline Carnegie and West Fife Rotarians rode across the Forth to West Lothian.  Broughty Ferry and Monifieth Rotary clubs and Rotarians from Dundee cycled from Monifieth across the Tay Bridge and back. Monifieth was also the destination for Arbroath Rotarians!

A ten strong team of Inverness Rotarians toured the Black Isle.  Aberdeen Deeside Rotary royally supported their rider tackling the Cults to Crathes road!  Tain & Easter Ross held their ride at Tain Vintage Car Rally, encouraging the public to join their virtual cycle of the North Coast 500 route on a static bike.

In the south, Castle Douglas Rotary held special family rides with 15, 30 and 45 mile options.  Peebles, Innerleithen Walkerburn & Traquair and Lanark Rotary cyclists got together to take on an impressive 73 km border route!  Further west, Stranraer held a Cyclethon in their local community centre.

Perth and Inverness Loch Ness Rotary Clubs also took to the road for their fundraising, in two spectacular Classic Car Tours in aid of our work.

We’re delighted that such impressive fundraising events made a full return last year. This year, many Rotary Clubs are already supporting our work!
