Perth Rotary Club gears up for Perthshire Classic Car Tour 2023

Members of Perth Rotary Club are gearing up for their spectacular Perthshire Classic Car Tour 2023 on Sunday 23 April and we’re delighted to be working with them again as a beneficiary charity. It’s a unique tour event, with 120 entries available – sign up now to take part!

It’s one of Scotland’s premier motoring events with a stunning route through Glencoe.  Drivers and passengers can also join a fantastic celebratory gathering at the finish at Crieff Hydro Hotel. Entries are invited from drivers of vintage, historic and classic cars, including modern sports cars. We’re thrilled that so many drivers have already signed up.

In 2022, Perth Rotarians raised a phenomenal £28,432 through this event – a fantastic achievement!  The event is generously supported by several local businesses too.

About the route

Up to 120 classic cars will assemble at McDiarmid Park Perth, home of St Johnstone Football Club before being flagged off by the Provost of Perth & Kinross, at the podium at McDiarmid Park, before journeying north through rural Perthshire along the banks of Loch Tay and on to Glencoe where lunch will be available at the Isles of Glencoe Hotel. The return route will be south through Glencoe and along Loch Earn and Comrie before finishing at Crieff Hydro Hotel for a Gala Dinner, Awards Ceremony, Auction and Raffle.

About Perth Rotary Club

Perth Rotary Club is one of 88 clubs in Rotary District 1010 – North Scotland and celebrated their centenary year in 2017.  Serving their community and financially supporting local charities has underpinned the Club since its incorporation.  Their main fundraiser, the Silent Auction, is a well established and popular event as are their other fund raising activities, with an annual golf competition and an annual Fayre held in Perth.

Since 2017, Perth Rotary Club has held four classic car events. These have raised over a magnificent £100,000 for charities. We’re delighted to be nominated again as a beneficiary of their Perthshire Classic Car Tour alongside Alzheimer Scotland and Carers Trust Scotland.

Head to the Perthshire Classic Car Tour website for more details and how to enter

While there is no entry fee, entrants are asked to raise sponsorship or make a donation of at least £60.00 per car.  (This is payable to the Rotary Club of Perth Community Account). Entry includes a Tour Plate for each car, a Road Book and Map and Goody Bag.

What’s more, drivers have the opportunity to win some great prizes, including:

  • oldest car to complete the Tour
  • car driven the furthest to participate
  • Spirit of the Tour
  • best period costume

We’d like to say a very big thank you to Perth Rotary Club for their tremendous dedication and efforts in organising and hosting the Perthshire Classic Car Tour in aid of our work.  Our thanks also go to the several local businesses for their generosity in sponsoring and donating prizes to this event.
