New service for Tayside prostate cancer patients

Prostate Scotland and Maggie’s are delighted to be working together to launch our new service in Tayside for prostate cancer patients.  Our Living Well with Prostate Cancer course for men diagnosed with prostate cancer will take place at Maggie’s Dundee.

Our course is specifically designed for men in Tayside undergoing treatment or having recently finished treatment for prostate cancer.  It will run over a 6-week period.  Men will meet others in a similar situation and discuss various topics including managing side effects, the practicalities of living with prostate cancer, diet, exercise and finances.

Each session will last around 1.5 hours and the course is free.  It takes place at Maggie’s Dundee, Ninewells Hospital, Tom McDonald Avenue, Dundee, DD2 1NH.

We’ve received excellent feedback from men who’ve attended our course in other parts of Scotland:

“I found my personal mood lifted as a consequence of the session.”

“The course broke my isolation – I feel better knowing there are others like me and it makes me feel I’m not alone.”

“It is very easy to feel alone whilst living with cancer so broadening horizons and speaking with different people is essential.  The involvement of health care professionals who have time to talk to us is so important for our wellbeing.”

Just call or email Maggie’s Dundee to join our next course.
