Harry raises the roof!

Congratulations Harry on raising the roof in Giffnock with your fantastic charity concert!

Harry’s live acoustic music night at Orchardhill Parish Church was a big hit in May – raising £2,143.75 for Prostate Scotland and Orchardhill Roof Fund!  Congratulations to Harry, and to all the musicians on your well received performances and your brilliant fundraising achievement. We shared the proceeds of the event, receiving a donation to the tune of £1,256.25!

Superb sets of Celtic and modern music were performed by musicians from the local area and from as far afield as Inverness and Galashiels. The audience enjoyed pieces featuring guitar, mandolin, tenor mandolin and piano.

We’d like to say thank you to:

From L to R in photo: Susan, Roseanne, Lindsay, Harry, Eddie, Laurence and Mark.  And a special mention goes to Ross for sound and lighting!

Thank you also to Orchardhill Parish Church for hosting, and to What’s On East Renfrewshire and to Community Magazine for helping to spread the word.

Coming up in Glasgow:

The Great Scottish Run is on Sunday 1st October, and is one of Scotland’s biggest running events from the organisers of the Great North Run. We have free fundraisers places in the 10K and Half Marathon events. There’s a fantastic atmosphere with an enthusiastic crowd to cheer you on as you make your way around the city.  You’ll pass its famous landmarks, and run through some of its greenest spaces.
