One in ten men in Scotland is at risk of prostate cancer and nearly one in two is likely to have prostate disease at some stage in their life. Over 4,000 people are diagnosed with prostate cancer in Scotland a year. Prostate Scotland is working in partnership with the Grand Lodge of Scotland to help ameliorate the effects of going through treatment for prostate cancer and disease. Together we are aiming to make available special care packs (PROSPACKS) to help to men in Scotland going through treatment if they are having surgery, radiotherapy, or chemotherapy for prostate cancer. These packs will contain a range of helpful and essential items to help men as they go through treatment. We are also aiming to take forward research into living with prostate disease.

The Masons4Munro Challenge involves a novel and exciting challenge to raise charity funds for The Grand Lodge of Scotland to support the PROSPACK initiative being organised by Prostate Scotland.

The Challenge involves representatives from each of the Provinces within Grand Lodge to hike a series of Munro mountains in Scotland within the month of June this year. Each walk will be led by qualified mountaineers, including a Mountain Leader. The event is open to any Scottish Mason, with representation from each Province. For entry information please go to  Masons4Munros  or mail  info@masons4munros.co.uk.
